Introduction

Founded in 1953, the Chinese PLA General Hospital (also known as 301 Hospital) is a large-scale modern comprehensive hospital integrating medical care, health maintenance, education, and scientific research. The hospital is equipped with over 40,000 sets of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic devices, including digital angiography systems, PET-MR, PET-CT, cyclotrons, computed tomography therapy systems, hyperbaric oxygen chambers, robotic surgical systems, magnetic navigation intervention systems, intraoperative CT, and intraoperative MRI. It houses 165 clinical and medical technology departments and 233 nursing units, with 8 national key disciplines, 1 national key laboratory, 20 provincial/ministerial and PLA key laboratories, and 33 PLA specialized medical centers and institutes. The hospital has developed 13 areas of professional strength characterized by comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. It also serves as the PLA intensive care demonstration base and a training base for the Chinese Nursing Association. An International Medical Center and a Health Management Center are established to provide high-end preventive healthcare services. Annually, the hospital handles over 4.9 million outpatient and emergency visits, admits 198,000 inpatients, and performs nearly 90,000 surgeries. The hospital boasts 6 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, over 100 experts at technical grade three or above, and more than 1,000 senior professional and technical personnel. Among them, there are 184 doctoral supervisors and 293 master's supervisors. Over 180 staff members serve as chairs or vice chairs of national and PLA medical professional committees. The hospital has trained more than 4,000 high-level clinical medical talents (master's and doctoral graduates) for the military, over 10,000 clinical trainees for military and civilian hospitals, and tens of thousands of participants in specialized training programs.
